I picked up a Dixon china marker for some of these. I really like the line quality it produces. Very smooth and doesn't catch on the paper like charcoal, yet just as dark. Great for linework. :)

Too long a sketch
I haven't painted in a long time, so I figure I would start up again. Too much cartooning has skewed my anatomy, so I did this without reference to see what I needed to work on.
